Top-Level power reliability at the Cegeka Arena

During the Belgium–Ukraine international match at the Cegeka Arena, the stadium lighting could not afford a single second of downtime. With thousands of supporters, live broadcasts and strict UEFA regulations, the requirement was absolute: 100% guaranteed power stability. To ensure this, Boldt — in collaboration with Calculus — installed four synchronised generators that temporarily took over the complete power supply of the stadium’s floodlights. The grid connection was fully disconnected; the entire lighting system ran exclusively on our installation. With real-time monitoring and a dedicated technician on site, the power supply remained flawlessly stable throughout the match. No flicker. No interruptions. Just consistently reliable light — and a winning night for the Red Devils. A seamless evening, powered by Boldt.
PAST PROJECTS
  • Two 200 kVA generators were installed in parallel at each floodlight mast, configured in full synchronisation and completely isolated from the grid.
  • A dedicated backup generator was configured in stand-by mode with automatic transfer, ensuring the lighting would remain uninterrupted even in the event of a failure.
  • All generators were integrated into the Calculus monitoring platform for real-time insights, fault detection and proactive remote adjustments.
  • A Boldt technician was present on site throughout the entire event to manage the installation, provide immediate intervention if required and ensure flawless power continuity.
